Rocaline Lecharlier - About
Hi there, I’m Rocaline. After studying interior architecture and graphic design in Brussels, I felt like working more with my hands. In 2022 I learned how to work with ceramics in Lisbon. I like the way it allows me to express myself and my state of mind through shapes I observe in urban environments and nature. Function doesn’t talk to me much, I just like to assemble shapes in my head and give them life in clay.
I work with abstract forms that can shift and adapt; becoming vases, sculptures, or whatever structure feels right at the moment. I’m still at the beginning of this ongoing exploration, and I’m enjoying figuring things out step by step as I go.
I'll hold my first ceramic solo exhibition at Estúdio Torto where I've been developing some pieces over the past two years! It's going to be about dreams, transformation and the need of creating a world that suits better to a bunny like me.
