The sculptures are primarily inspired by dreams and the vivid images that come to my mind when I experience intense emotions. Capturing these visions exactly as I see them proves to be a challenging task due to their intricate and ethereal nature. Therefore, I simplify them into geometric shapes. With those elements I build a language of forms through which I express my feelings and vision of the world. My creative process and the subjects I use are closely linked to the way I perceive movement and emotions; how I experience my environment. In this series of sculptures, I aim to achieve emotional equilibrium by balancing shapes.
The incorporation of glass into certain parts of the sculptures evokes the pools and ephemeral elements, reminiscent of what I encounter in my dreams. I am quite fascinated by the material itself, particularly in the transformative process of creating something new out of broken pieces. There's a certain magical quality in the melting and transparency of the glass. I appreciate the contrast of combining opaque clay with transparent glass. It creates a sense of containment, similar to how I handle emotions.
