These sculptures usually start from dreams or images that come to me when I feel something intensely. They’re often blurry or hard to explain, so I simplify them into geometric shapes.
Building these forms helps me process things. The way I arrange and balance the shapes is closely linked to how I move through life. It’s a way of finding some emotional balance through composition.
In some pieces I add glass, which reminds me of pools that appear a lot in my dreams. I’m also just very fascinated by the material itself, especially the idea of taking broken pieces and turning them into something new. The fact that glass melts feels magical to me.
